As many years as I've been heating with cordwood, I’m getting just a wee bit tired of splitting and stacking and carrying it all here and there.  Those folks with the pellet delivery trucks might just have something there.

You may have heard the news about two recent startups of wood pellet heating systems that were funded by grant money from the federal ARRA (stimulus program), via the Maine Forest Service's Wood to Energy Program.  The two that have announced their completion are the City of Gardiner and Waterville HIgh School, both running wood pellet boilers.
