Moscow: From Radar Station to Wind Power Plant?

Cianbro Corp. of Pittsfield and Conroy Development Corp. and Jay Cashman Inc. of Massachussetts have together purchased a former Air Force radar station in Moscow in Somerset County. The companies are interested in placing wind power generators and other energy infrastructure at the site. The property is ideal for electricity generation because of its remote location and existing power lines and substations, according to reports in Mainebiz, The Bangor Daily News and the Sun Journal.
